enjoying it

photo via livingetc. this serene scene looks nothing
like my home at the moment!

Monday, when our holiday company left and I had a huge surge of..."let's clean and get organized"...and I threw the tree out the door and cleaned the whole house...
well that was the end of that.

Since then, I have done what has to be done...a little laundry here...pick up dinner there...but that is it.

With all of us here, there are piles of book and magazines and movies laying around. All of the holiday decorations haven't found their way back to a permanent home yet. Pillows and throws are askew on my couches. Crafting supplies are left on the island. Piles of shoes are lined up by the door, and not in the closet. I think there is a lot of food in the fridge that should probably be thrown out.

For once, I am not letting it bother me...it can wait. Besides, the girls want me to watch "Eclipse" again.

  2. I'm so happy I'm not the only one whose house looks like a war zone. But sometimes it's comfortable that way...until it bugs you so much you have to do something about it...which is TODAY for me. Laundry here I come! I did laugh when you said you threw the tree out the door. Wouldn't that be fun - to just throw everything out the door instead of washing, folding, etc? HAPPY NEW YEAR, Ashlyn! xoxo
