Strange timing. I just read this tip online: Buy yourself an air popper and ditch the microwave popcorn. Microwave bags are lined with a Teflon coating, known to release hazardous fumes and particles.
I sent my husband an email that an air popper was on my list. We'll try the brown bag first!
I am absolutely going to try this! Maybe try it for my son's 6th birthday party? I am not creative in the kitchen so I am so happy when talented people give me ideas :)
I have seen this way of popping popcorn but I think you've inspired me to finally try it b/c Stella is addicted to popcorn lately. We were in the grocery store recently when she saw a (see through) bag of "yellow" popcorn and asked for it. I am so bad...I just said, "ew...yellow popcorn is gross!" This would be a fun project.
Hi Ashlyn-
ReplyDeleteI gotta try this and I bet it tastes better than the brand name packs.
Happy Easter.
My best- Diane

looks delicious. would you believe we don't have a microwave? we do popcorn 'old-school' style on the stove top in a big 'all clad' pot.

Oh man, I feel so out of the blogging loop after my mini-break! I love your new header!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so tasty and cute! I'm starting to learn that everything in a paper bag is just better after that amazing pie I had last month.

Ashlyn- We use an ancient electric air popper for our popcorn. Nothing as fun as popcorn!
