  1. Ashlyn,

Wow - what a big post. First, your girls look adorable and I bet it was such a thrill to watch them.

Second, while I know that the changes ahead is a lot to wrap your mind around, just focus on what an amazing experience it was to live in WA and know that your next chapter will be equally amazing. Home is where you make it! I can't wait to hear where you'll be moving to and I'll be thinking of your girls a lot as I know it will be a big transition for them. Sending you lots of good vibes...

    Warmly,
    Tiffany

  4. I haven't blogged all week... trapped in my own little world... and I just read this. Congrats to your hubs. And your girls will make friends wherever they go.... they are very outgoing and fun to be around. And you... will be missed!!! And you always know you have a place to stay if you want to visit the Pacific NW. Blessings to you :) Tracy

  5. Oh, Ashlyn, I know there is a painful tug around your heart at the thought of having to uproot your girls and turn their lives upside down. Thank goodness they are all so close - they have each other and what a difference that makes. I hope this move ultimately is a big blessing and you find much happiness in your new home, both the temporary one and the more permanent one! Big Hugs!!!

  6. Hi Ashlyn-

Your girls look adorable - what a cute photo of them. I feel your pain about your husband's job loss. My husband was laid off 2 years and 1 month ago and he has not been able to find anything. He is an engineer also. He works constantly networking, getting leads, and never lets himself relax. We thought he landed a job in NC about two weeks ago as he was the last candidate after all the interviewing, but in the end they ended up not hiring anybody. We have had ups and down and the stress has aged us in so many ways. We still have one in college, but luckily if we do have to move it won't effect our daughters. Just know you are not alone in having to make all these transitions. You said you were moving across the country - to the East coast?

Try to hang in there - I know it is hard - I call it living in limbo, but it is not a permanent thing.
    Thinking about you.

    My best- Diane

  7. You must be so proud of your girls. Love their costumes. I just got home from Noah's band concert. He did a couple of solo's on his Sax, and even received a special most valuable performer certificate. It's so much fun to share in the joy of their accomplishes. I'm so curious as to where you are moving. My "sudo" brother used to work in Seattle at Boeing and is now in Grand Rapids, MI. Just curious if this is the type of engineering your husband does as well. Best Wishes to you. That has to be so hard.
